will the plastic and metal isn't good for you but i don't think it'll hurt you but it's the butane that's inside that can really harm you so if it leaks and has enough butane you can get really really sick but i don't know about dieing

Probably not. Unless it gets stuck or blocks something up. The liquid and gas in the lighter should stay inside and it would probably pass through you before the plastic broke down and released those chemicals. If you feel pain or discomfort I would go to the ER.

It also could perforate your bowels, which can also cause infection and death.

Possible for the chemicals of a cigarette lighter, an also if the lighter is big enough to obstruct the esophagus. Anything not edible inside someone's stomach can be harmful, going for a doc to remove it is a must.
